Sockten is a sock factory in Istanbul working private label and boutique only. Every pair we knit leaves under a customer's brand, never our own. That is the whole business, and it is why consistency matters to us more than taste.
A textile tradition, run as a modern practice.
Knitting, linking, boarding, pairing and packing happen under one roof. Working in one building means a question about a heel is answered by walking twenty metres rather than sending three emails.
What private label only actually means.
It is a commercial position, not a description of the machines. Here is what follows from it.
We do not compete with our customers. Sockten has no retail range, no wholesale list and no shelf presence anywhere. A design knitted for one buyer is not offered to the next one, and there is no in-house collection for it to be quietly absorbed into.
The tooling is yours to direct. Cylinder diameter, gauge, yarn, structure, finishing and packaging are all variables set by your technical file rather than by a catalogue we are trying to sell down.
Boutique runs are welcome. Working private label only means the workshop is set up to change over between programmes rather than to run one line forever. Small first orders are normal here, not an exception granted reluctantly.
You can watch it happen. Knitting, linking, boarding, pairing and packing are under one roof in Istanbul, and buyers are welcome on the floor before they commit and during production. A factory that sells only to brands has no reason to keep them out.
Certification.
The facility is certified. The yarns are certified separately by their suppliers, and we keep that distinction because buyers audit it.
